2021 Course Dates

Travel allowing, we will be running residential courses on the following dates:

2 -13 August 2021 (summer season in Val d'Isère)

23 August - 3 September (summer season in Val d'Isère) 

6 - 17 September (interseason in Val d'Isère) 

20 September - 1 October (interseason in Val d'Isère)


The courses are a 1:1 ratio with the tutor, however we will accept 2 students that know each other. There is a 25% discount for 2 people working together.

The course runs for two weeks Monday to Friday. Each day starts at 8am with breakfast and an introduction to the day.

You are welcome to arrive and depart Val d'Isère at any point during the weekend before and after your course dates.

The Fine Print

PRICES

All prices on this website are in Euros.

All course fees / accommodation / food cost etc is priced per person. Each person must pay the course price applicable to the dates and length of their individual course. Telephone quotes are subject to written confirmation.  


PRICE GUARANTEE, NO SURCHARGES

Once your course has been booked its price will not change. However, we reserve the right to amend our prices before you book and to notify you of the new prices when you book. 


PAYMENTS

Payment in full at the time of booking. Cancellation rates are as follows:

Full refund – More than 4 months prior to the course or if your course can not go ahead due to a travel ban relating to Covid-19.

50 % refund – More than 2 months prior to the course

25 % refund – More than 1 month prior to the course

We cannot offer any refund within one month of the course unless the government states that it is illegal to attend the course due to Covid-19, in which case a full refund will be given.

Payment is made via our website or by bank transfer.

When making a bank transfer from overseas you must ensure that the net amount arrives in our account and that all related bank charges are paid by you.


DAMAGE DEPOSITS

We do not require a damage deposit, however any damage caused to the property will be charged to the person responsible. It is a condition of booking that any cost to repair or replace damaged property will be paid before leaving the resort.


INSURANCE

It is a condition of booking that all clients have adequate insurance. You will be responsible for any costs that arise following an incident and any claims made. The YSE Cookery School will not be held responsible for any injury /loss or damage resulting from any third party activity. We cannot give advice on any insurance policies.

British EHIC cards are now only valid until expiry. Therefore you will need to get a UK equivalent of the EHIC or GHIC. Information can be found on this link.

Please note an EHIC or GHIC card does not replace a proper travel insurance.


IF WE ALTER YOUR BOOKING

In this instance we will offer you the choice of another course date, a partial refund and access to our online course or a full refund on your course fees.


IF YOU ALTER YOUR BOOKING

Should you wish to make any alteration to your booking after it has been purchased, we will comply with your request where possible.

YOUR BEHAVIOUR

You undertake to behave in such a manner as not to disrupt the enjoyment of others and undertake not to prejudice our reputation with our customers, the owners of our accommodation or our suppliers. The course of any student in breach of this clause may be terminated immediately and we will have no further contractual obligations towards him or them. In addition we reserve the right to recover in the resort the cost (or estimated cost if an actual cost is not yet known) of any loss, damage or breakage caused by any student. We cannot accept responsibility for the actions of any student or be held liable for any claims made against them.


TRANSFERS

Transfers to and from the resort are not covered by the fee although we are happy to provide details of reputable transfer companies, train timetables etc depending on the time of year you are attending a course. 


PASSPORTS

All students must be in possession of a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining at the time of travel, along with all necessary visas and permits to allow entry into France or Switzerland and to allow re-entry into the UK. We will not be liable for any costs or fines incurred due to a student's failure to comply with any regulations.


OUR LIABILITY

In all the arrangements we have made for your course we have taken reasonable steps to ensure that the suppliers of the services used are of an acceptable standard. However, we would point out that we do not own or control the organisations providing transport or accommodation.

If you suffer personal injury or death from any activity which is not part of your course booked with us but occurs during the course, we will not be liable for any compensation.
